ALL Levels Flamenco Technique
All levels of experience. Beginners welcome!

This class focuses on developing total body technique, strengthening movement, musicality, and endurance. It utilizes various exercise combinations with speed intervals to enhance performance and deepen the participants' foundation in: Floreo (hand movements), Braceo (arm movements), Zapateado/Taconeo (footwork), Marcajes (marking steps), Compás y Palmas (rhythm and hand-clapping), Giros (turns), Posture, body placement, and control.

Tangos y Bulerías Patadas y Escobillas
When: SATURDAYS 11am-12pm

This class focuses on building your repertoire of llamadas (calls), remates (finishes), and cierres (closings). Gain the confidence and comfort needed to participate in a festero style environment at your next juerga (flamenco party) or fin de fiesta (end of performance celebration)!
Short footwork phrases will also be introduced for Tangos and Bulerías, expanding your dance repertoire!

Intermediate/ Flamenco Technique and Repertoire

Class: Intermediate / Advanced Technique and Repertoire Soleá Por Bulería
Where: Ballet Tucson 200 S Tucson Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716
Cost: $135 for 6 weeks -OR- $30 Drop-in
Intermediate Flamenco Technique and Repertoire is for students with an experienced level of flamenco exposure. Dancers will engage in complete warm up on a mat, complex movement combinations, advanced footwork drills and develop repertoire for Bulerías Por Soleá.

FLAMENCO WORKSHOP
with flamenco singer Celia Corrales

Celia Corrales is originally from Puerto de Santa María (Spain). She started her flamenco journey singing for Pilar Andújar, extremely prestigious flamenco master in Valencia. After moving to Texas, Celia started collaborating with A’lante Flamenco, in Austin, and has become a staple voice all around Texas.
