Flamenco fans in Tuscon, get ready to welcome Seville’s popular maestro for a one-day master class. This master teacher is known for his ability to communicate the nuances of the lighter side of Flamenco – dancing bulerías in the fiesta.

Join the smiles and laughter in class, by starting at a base of rhythm and musicality in movement. All levels of dancers, from total beginners to professionals, as well as singers and guitarists, will gain in these classes. Regardless of Flamenco technique level or experience, students become absorbed in one of the essentials of Flamenco: being united in rhythm, in soniquete!

Need a refresher in SEVILLANAS? Come dance Sevillanas with us! We will review each copla and clean up arm, turns and transitions.

There will be no teachings of how to dance Sevillanas. Previous experience preferred. Please contact me with any questions.

This class is designed to challenge and grow our flamenco journey. Starting with a through warmup of stretching and strengthening, moving to braceo, marcajes, jiro and footwrok techniques. The second half will focus on pasos por Bulerias geared to Intermediate level that will progressively move to an advanced level pace. We will finish with a relaxing cool down.

Cost: $100 for all 5 classes or $25 Drop-in

This class is recommended for participants who have taken Absolute Beginner or Intro to Flamenco classes. Class will cover a deeper sense of braceo, marcajes & footwork, technique. Introducing jiros (flamenco turns) and continuing communication practices of Tangos Flamencos.
